okay, i think i have a really good name for the bfa show. ...."enlightenment?"(the question mark is part of the title)....what do you guys think? this has so many interesting and self contradicting interpretations ,to name a few:
are these students questioning if they achieved enlightenment?
or encouraging us to think if they did, in fact, achieve or not?
or maybe it's an invitation to receive enlightenment, like a got milk ad.
or maybe people will see the end of the world, the apocalypse, and this becomes the enlightenment,
or maybe it's religious propaganda and they are asking for more people to be saved, must believe in allah or god or etc, and be enlightened through them
these questions of the intention and meaning of the title will linger in the minds of the show goers, and these questions are very interesting ones, with a variety of ways to go in search for an answer. and this complexity of options is where the power comes from. It becomes a dense forest and no matter how long you hike it, you will always feel there is more forest to see. And when thinking of a group of students who made a dense forest for the mind to wonder from just a title, nothing but awe should be felt and the show should have a higher sense of professionalism from what it will already have because of this.
i'm just throwing it out there. i did think of some not so good ones and i thought they were great when i made them.
so what are some other ideas?
I like the Idea but I think the word itself is too straight forward, and i'm afraid people won't feel challenged to think about it. how about a synonym like "insight", and we can play with different phonetic spelling of the word so it kind of makes you look for a reason for it. or play with the nature of the word, something like turning a noun into an adjetive by playing with its sound or spelling or something.
ReplyDeleteEnlightenment is good but Epiphany is better because it's not limited to an enlightenment, it's almost like the path we have chosen..
ReplyDeleteI like Epiphany alot but I wonder if it's relatable to us..lol
